JAYAPURA - The Samsat Office of Supiori Regency officially operated, on Wednesday (1/2/2023), after being authorized by the head of the local government witnessed by the Head of the Papua Bapenda, Setyo Wahyudi.
After the inauguration, Head of Bapenda, Setyo hoped that the existence of the Samsat office was expected to help the government in carrying out development in Papua.
"Because one of the sources of income is Regional Native Income (PAD)," explained Setyo, when reading the remarks of the Governor of Papua, on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony.
Still said, the Samsat Joint Office is a forum for the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia in charge of traffic, the Regional Financial Management Task Force that carries out provincial tax collection, and PT. Jasa Raharja, in organizing the One-Stop Manunggal Administration System abbreviated as Samsat.
In addition to the implementation of public services, the existence of the Samsat Joint Office in Supiori Regency also plays an important role in 3 increasing regional fiscal capacity, because it is one of the sources of income for Supiori Regency.
The provincial taxes collected at the Samsat Joint Office will be paid back to the Regency in the form of a Provincial Tax Revenue Sharing Fund.
"For this reason, in the future it is very important to build synergy between the Supiori Regional Government and the Papua Provincial Government in the context of collecting Motor Vehicle Tax at the Samsat Joint Office".
"And of course, it is a commitment of the Papua Provincial Government in realizing one of the Missions of the Governor of Papua, namely Strengthening Governance," he said.
It is known that in 2022 the Revenue of PAD for Papua Province will reach IDR 2.2 trillion, which is the highest achievement during the Papua Provincial Government.
The existence of three New Autonomous Regions (DOB) has a direct impact on the decline of PAD, because it has been divided into each DOB according to their respective potentials. ***
