JAYAPURA – The Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of Papua has confirmed that hundreds of local provincial employees are applying to move to three newly authorized New Autonomous Regions (DOB).
"The State Civil Apparatus of Papua Provincial Government who wants to move to Central Papua has about 300 people registered, then South Papua and Highland Papua are less than 300 people," said Head of BKD of Papua Provincial, Marthen Kogoya, in Jayapura, Monday.
However, Marthen said the number of State Civil Apparatus working in the New Autonomous Region may continue to grow because they are given a career in the main province or a new province.
"Whether to stay in the main province or want to have a career in the three New Autonomous Regions, it depends on the State Civil Apparatus. But everything has to be within the rules," he said.
He said, at the moment the process of the transfer is still temporarily underway. However, specifically for SMA / SMK teachers, according to the central government policy, it must be transferred to their respective districts/cities.
"If the process of transferring teachers has been carried out and until now, 95 percent has been completed. There are a few left that we will complete as soon as possible".
"In essence, the employees of the Main Papua Province who are already in the three New Autonomous Region are being carried out registration, they will automatically be transferred to the three New Autonomous Region because some of them are already working there," he said. ***
