JAYAPURA - The Korpri Papua Council is asked to play an active role in helping to improve the welfare of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) both through business capital and other related matters.
So ASN not only depends on salaries and benefits but starts entrepreneurship to create new income for themselves.
"In the past, civil servants were not allowed to do business. Now it can be done because the rule was lifted. During Covid-19, many people lost their jobs so that civil servants can now become entrepreneurs," explained Deputy Chairman of the Korpri National Management Council, Bima Haria Wibisana, after inaugurating the Papua Province Korpri Management Board for the 2023-2028 period at the Papua Youth Creative Hub building, Jayapura City, Monday (3/4/2023).
Bima said, in addition to improving the welfare of civil servants, Korpri Papua administrators have homework or other homework that is no less important to do. One of them is improving public services.
On the other hand, Korpri's mandate to safeguard the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is also a mandatory thing that must be carried out. "Even it must be done throughout Indonesia, including Papua. It is indeed the duty of the Korpri Papua management, but we hope that all tasks can be carried out properly," he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, stated that the inauguration of the Korpri Papua management was due to a vacancy in the previous Korpri management membership. Among them are due to mutation, retirement, and death.
Nevertheless, Governor Ridwan admitted that he was ready to carry out the responsibilities that had been conveyed by the National Korpri Council related to improving the health of civil servants, public services, and love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. ***
