JAYAPURA - The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Papua encourages all regional apparatus organizations (OPD) to actively increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in their respective agencies.
The implementation of development in Papua will run as expected.
"Bappenda also cannot work alone, so there must be a common mindset with regional apparatus organizations to encourage income for Regional Original Revenue of Papua, and of course, there is support from Governor, the Regional Secretary and other leaders," explained Head of the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) of Papua Province Setiyo Wahyudi in Jayapura, Wednesday,
Setiyo said the collaboration between all regional apparatus organizations is importat to find new income for their agencies. The expansion of provinces makes the scope of Papua getting smaller. However, he believes there are potentials in Papua that can be explored to increase income.
"Increasing opinion requires collaboration, to move together and multiply the potential of new resources."
"Examples of assets that have been owned by the Papua Provincial Government such as the former PON XX Papua, which can be used as a source of income," he said.
In addition, he added, another potential that needs to be explored by the Papua Provincial Government is an effort to increase community income. "There must be a jump or increase in investment or it will not develop."
"So, without investment, the Regional Original Revenue movement will not float unless there are investors who enter both the marine, forestry, agriculture and several other sectors that can be developed together," he said. ***
