JAYAPURA - The Papua Province Civil Service Corps (Korpri) contingent is confirmed to have been ready to take part in the 2023 Korpri National Sports Week (Pornas) in Semarang in July.

It was conveyed by the Daily Executive of Papua Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur, Tuesday (6/6/2023) in Jayapura.

According to Hegemur, some preparations have been done to bring home the medal. The target carried, namely one medal in five sports followed.

However, in addition to achievements, the important thing for Papuan participants in Pornas Korpri is the togetherness among all civil servants in the archipelago.

"For Pornas Korpri 2023 Semarang, we have prepared participants and we will take part in five of the ten contests."

"We are ready with the target, not many, but we will bring home medals. Let us prioritize togetherness more than everything among civil servants throughout Indonesia at Pornas Korpri Semarang," he said.

It is known that the Pornas Korpri will be held in Semarang City, Central Java Province, on July 13-23, 2023.

From 10 sports contested, the Papuan contingent participated in five of them with a target of one medal for each sport.

The 10 sports contested include Futsal, Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Gateball, Chess, KORPRI Gymnastics, Bicycle Racing, and Basketball. The national agenda is followed by provincial contingents and ministries/institutions throughout Indonesia.

The Papuan contingent participated in five sports out of 10 contested, namely Futsal, Field Tennis, Volleyball, Korpri Gymnastics, and Basketball. ***
