JAYAPURA - Head of the Regional Library and Archives Education Department (DPPAD) of Papua Province, Chistian Sohilait, reminded schools not to carry out illegal levies when accepting new students.
His party ensures that it will impose strict sanctions on schools found to be carrying out illegal levies.
"There should be no more illegal levies or they will get severe sanctions from us," said Sohilait in Jayapura, Monday (12/6/2023).
According to him, all levels of education from kindergarten to high school have begun to open school admission registration.
For this reason, all processes are expected to run properly or in accordance with applicable rules.
"Therefore, we also hope that the Education Department of both city and districts can supervise the course of the New Student Admission," he hoped.
He added that the admission of new students this year is still carried out according to their zoning or domicile of residence.
Therefore, it must be a school concern by prioritizing children who live around the school environment.
He also advised that the recruitment process be carried out transparently. ***
