JAYAPURA - The Technical Implementation Unit of the Papua Pavilion Agency (UPTB) in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Jakarta, received books as assistance from the Regional Education, Library and Archives Department (DPPAD) of Papua Province, last week.
The donation is expected to become a mini library at the Papua Pavilion to promote literacy culture (the ability to read and write) to the community and visitors.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Regional Liaison Agency of Papua in Jakarta, Alexander Kapisa, Sunday, as a release received by the editor.
Alexander still said that his party felt grateful and appreciated DPPAD Papua which quickly responded to requests for book assistance through informal discussions.
This response is evidence of the existence of activity across agencies in Papua, with the hope that the assistance will help visitors to know the information about Papua.
"DPPAD Papua yesterday donated a total of 163 book titles in 263 copies. Of course, this greatly supports our innovation in making the Papua Pavilion a showcase for Papua in Jakarta and its surroundings," he said. ***
