JAYAPURA - The Korpri Gymnastics Team of Papua ensures that it is ready to compete and make achievements at the 2023 Korpri XVI National Sports Week (Pornas) Central Java, July 13 to July 27, 2023.
The Manager of Papua Korpri Gymnastics, Jeri A. Yudianto said that the preparation is being done. In the past week, the Papuan gymnastics team of seven people, with a composition of five women and two men, has been actively training additional creations that are characteristic of the Papuan gymnastics team
The new creation is expected to be an additional point for the Papuan team to add scores for good results." The preparation of the Korpri Gymnastics team to Semarang was very ready. From the technical side, we do creative training which in essence is a characteristic to win the championship," explained Jeri in Jayapura, Tuesday (27/6/2023).
Although he does not know the opponent's strength map, Jeri is optimistic that the team will be able to make achievements in the Pornas Korpri Semarang event because the seven Papuan gymnastics athletes are individuals who are accustomed to gymnastics activities every day, even some of them become instructors in the City and Regency of Jayapura.
For the Korpri gymnastics competition, we don't know how many provinces will join it so we don't know the strength map of our opponents. "But we are optimistic about our athletes who are individuals and are used to participating in gymnastics. Even professionally, some have become gymnastics instructors in provincial offices," he said.
It is known that the Korpri Gymnastics competition in the Central Java National Pornas will be held on July 18, 2023. The day before, all participants will be given the opportunity to try out the venue of the competition. ***
