JAYAPURA - Acting Papua Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur hopes that efforts to eradicate corruption will improve the integrity of the Government.
Among others, increase the score of the Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) results and the Anti-Corruption Behavior Index (IPAK).
"The efforts to prevent regional corruption by local governments are reported through the Monitoring Center For Prevention (MCP). This is a massive corruption prevention action plan encouraged by the Corruption Eradication Commission from 2018," he said at the Coordination Meeting of the Monitoring Center for Prevention.
This activity was held by the Corruption Eradication Commission at the Papua Governor's Office and attended by regions throughout Papua, on Thursday (16/5/2024).
Derek hopes this meeting will produce concrete decisions and can be implemented properly.
"Thank you to the KORSUPGAH Team who has assisted Papua Province in improving governance through MCP," he said.
Derek on this occasion appreciated all regional governments throughout Papua which, in the assessment, experienced a significant increase in MCP value.
This value is between 7 and 20 points higher than in 2022. Even regionally, Papua has experienced a proud increase.
"In 2023, Papua succeeded in reaching the blue zone with an average achievement of 55%. An increase of 25% compared to 2022 which only reached 30% or was in the yellow zone."
"I appreciate the Regency/City Government for showing its efforts to improve the achievements of MCP 2023. For regions whose MCP achievement is below 50% to be more serious about implementing the MCP indicators that have been determined," he said. ***
