Jayapura – Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun ensured that he would intensively monitor the condition of inflation developments in each region.

He stated that if he did not make a report, his party would go directly to the government area, because it concerns the condition of the regional economy.

"Inflation in Papua Province must be stable, not low or rising because it will significantly impact the local economy," he explained in Jayapura City, Thursday (6/6/2024).

Meanwhile, based on the results of his visit to Jayapura and Keerom Regencies on Tuesday (4/6), Ridwan stated that efforts to control inflation in two regions were going well but they ignored the input of activities

"So, I hope that the local government will continue to increase efforts so that inflation is better controlled," he said.

On this occasion, Ridwan gave notes for four regions: Jayapura City, Waropen Regency, Keerom and Mamberamo Raya. The four regions are the attention of the central government related to inflation control.

"That's why regular reporting on inflation developments needs to be done in all districts and cities in Papua. This is the consensus of President Joko Widodo and the Minister of Home Affairs even though four things are on record."

"And yesterday, I visited Jayapura Regency and Keerom Regency with two more districts. I hope that it will be the concern of all city districts to report inflation developments in their respective regions," he concluded. ***
