JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government has again won a Fair Without Exception (WTP) opinion on the Papua Provincial Government's Financial Statements for the 2023 fiscal year.
The results of the audit were submitted by Member VI of the Financial Audit Board (BPK),
Prof. Dr. Pius Lustrilanang S.IP., M.Si., CSFA, CFrA accompanied by the Head of Financial Audit Board Representative for Papua Province Dr., Ir. Martuama Saragi S.T., M.M., CSFA, IPU.
Meanwhile, the Audit Report (LHP) on the Financial Statements of the Papua Provincial Government for the 2023 Fiscal Year was received by the Speaker of the Papuan House of Representatives Jhony Banua Rouw, SE and the Acting Governor of Papua Dr. Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, S.E., M.M., in the Special Plenary Meeting Room of the Papua House of Representatives, Monday (10/6/2024)
The audit was carried out based on the State Financial Audit Standards (SPKN) and the results of the audit showed that there were problems related to regional financial management."
" However, the impact of these problems does not affect the fairness of the presentation of financial statements," said Member VI of BPK RI, Pius.
Meanwhile, problems that must be followed up immediately include the implementation of Employee Expenditure payments that are not under the provisions.
Then there was overpayment and lack of revenue for late fines in several work packages on Goods and Services Expenditure and Capital Expenditure, and inadequate management of Regional Property (BMD).
"For these problems, the Audit Board provides improvement recommendations to be followed up by the Governor of Papua," he said.
The member VI of the Indonesian Audit Board also invited the Papua Provincial Government and the Papuan Council to encourage the realization of a just and prosperous society and people's welfare by reducing poverty and unemployment rates and increasing the Human Development Index (HDI).
Pius Lustrianang also expressed his highest gratitude to the Speaker of the Papuan House of Representatives and the Acting Governor of Papua and all his staff who have given attention and support in the implementation of the audit task of the management and responsibility of state finances by the Audit Board and supported the efforts of the Indonesia Audit Board in realizing its vision and mission. ***
