JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government is encouraging rationalization of the number of employees in its area to make regional spending efficient and provide space for certain human resources to have a clear position.
"The number of Papua Provincial Government employees is 8,300, ideally 7,800. So that the rationalized employees have a clear position," explained Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong, at the inauguration of the Head of Regional Office IX of the Jayapura National Civil Service Agency (BKN), Hardianawati, in Jayapura City, Wednesday (8/21/1014).
His party has also formed a selection committee team for echelon II officials of the Papua Provincial Government, which is tasked with selecting officials who will sit as regional apparatus organizations (OPD).
The goal is to define some positions of the head regional apparatus organizations that are still held by daily executors and duty executors.
"I have formed a committee team to conduct a selection and when it is finished, we will define the Echelon II Officials. For Echelon III Officials, we will leave it to the BKD and the head of the Regional Working Unit," explained Ramses.
Meanwhile, the Governor hopes that the presence of the Head of the Regional Office IV of the Jayapura National Civil Service Agency (BKN), Hardinawati, can facilitate the "problem" of civil servants in Papua.
The synergy between the Papua Provincial Government and the BKN of Jayapura is also expected to bring quite good changes, especially for Papua in the management of civil servants' human resources. ***
