Ia mengatakan seluruh pihak perlu bergerak bersama sebelum batas akhir pendataan.
JAYAPURA – Papua Governor Matius Fakhiri has urged all business owners to ensure that their businesses are included in the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026). The measure is necessary to ensure that no businesses are left out ahead of the data collection deadline on August 31, 2026.
Fakhiri delivered the directive during the 2026 Economic Census Evaluation at the Papua Governor’s Office on Monday (August 24, 2026). He urged business owners who have not yet been registered or who have encountered difficulties to immediately contact the Statistics Indonesia service.
According to Fakhiri, regency and city governments need to monitor areas that still require follow-up. The monitoring process must ensure that data collection reaches business owners at the grassroots level.
“I hope all regents and mayors monitor their respective areas,” Fakhiri said. “Especially areas that still require follow-up.”
He also called for the acceleration of data collection to be accompanied by verification of the quality of the information gathered. The submitted data must accurately and factually reflect actual business conditions.
“Accelerating data collection must still ensure that the data is factual and accurate,” he said.
Fakhiri encouraged traditional leaders, religious leaders, community association leaders, and other community figures to help disseminate information about SE2026. Their involvement is considered important in helping BPS reach business owners within local communities.
He said all parties need to work together before the data collection deadline. “SE2026 must become a collective movement throughout Papua Province,” he said.
Fakhiri hopes that all business owners will use the remaining time to ensure that their businesses have been registered. Regional governments have also been asked to immediately follow up on areas where data collection remains incomplete. ***
