JAYAPURA – Jayapura Mandala Stadium is confirmed to be the venue for the opening ceremony of the National Paralympic Sports Week (Peparnas) XVI 2021 Papua.

The opening ceremony will be held on November 5, 2021, with 12 match locations or venues used in this event.

Daily Chairman of National Paralympic Sports Week of Papua, Doren Wakerkwa confirmed that he had held a series of meetings with relevant parties, especially the National Armed Forces and Police to prepare for the opening activities planned to be attended by President Joko Widodo.

"The meeting for the opening ceremony has been held because this activity will be attended by the head of state".

"Starting from the security system, traffic regulation and how to solve problems in sports," he told reporters on Tuesday.

As for safety, the Papua Police is known to have formed a team with the help of Military Regional Commands XVII Cendrawasih. No one comes from outside Papua.

It's just that the number of personnel will increase if President Joko Widodo is confirmed to attend the opening of National Paralympic Sports Week XVII of Papua. ***
