JAYAPURA - The annual meeting of the Governors Climate and Forest Task (GCF TF) in Manaus City, Amazonas state, Brazil, Thursday (03/17/2022), entered the third day.
From the meeting, agreed on the signing of the Manaus Action Plan (MAP) document which contains a joint agreement to reduce deforestation and land degradation, by the participants of the governor's task force for forests.
"The Papua Provincial Delegation was one of the participants who also signed the document. Similarly, as a form of Responsibility and concern for Papua to preserve the world's forests," explained DKLH Papua Forestry Planning Director, Estiko Tri Wiradyo to the press on Friday, who participated in the Papuan delegation at GCF TF, via Whatsapp text message.
"Even on the third day activities also discussed the forestry economy and tenure rights and discussions related to the integration of technology with knowledge and local wisdom. This meeting also involved participants and sources from various GCF TF member countries, "he explained.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, represented by the Regional Secretary of Papua, Ridwan Rumasukun at the Annual Meeting of Governors Climate and Forest Task also delivered a speech on the third day.
