JAYAPURA - The Local Governments of Regencies and Cities are asked to support the implementation of data verification of assistance beneficiaries of the Keluarga HarapanProgram (PKH).
This is related to the difficulty of the Social Affairs Department of Papua in verifying the data of the families of PKH beneficiaries, due to limited human resources, budgets and security situation factors.
"In 2021, the verification process did not run optimally due to the COVID-19 pandemic, then the conflict area was also difficult to reach, then the limited budget and human resources to verify the data that had been sent by Regional Social Affairs Department to Social Affairs Department in Province".
"In fact, the distribution of PKH assistance is very dependent on the results of data verification carried out by PKH assistants in the field," explained the Head of the Social Protection Section of the Papua Social Affairs Department, Laboke, in Jayapura, Thursday (23/6/2022).
Laboke said that the support from the district and city governments includes maximizing PKH assistance personnel, to be able to validly verify the data of each Benefit Receiver in their respective regions.
"So that if the verification process runs optimally, then this Benefit Receiver data can go down. Then the implementation of poverty management by local governments was also achieved. Because if the number of Benefit Receivers increases, it means that road poverty continues, even though it is not like that," he explained.
Previously, the Papua Social Affairs Department through this program had served as many as 55,112 receivers with a total budget of more than IDR 154 billion in 2021.
Meanwhile, for 2022, the number of Benefit Receivers recorded is more than 52 thousand. However, until now, verification of assistance has not been reported.
"Usually, there will be data after the national reconciliation in July," he said. ***
