JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government is confirmed to hold an entertainment stage at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Kampung Harapan, Jayapura Regency, in order to enliven the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, August 17, 2022.
According to the Head of the Communication and Informatics Department of Papua, Jeri A. Yudianto, not only provides a for entertainment stage, the provincial organizing committee also provides an exhibition for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) around the Lukas Enembe Stadium area.
"So that people come to see people's entertainment and there are local products that can be offered by local MSMEs. So that in addition to enlivening the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, it is hoped that there will be an economic turnaround for local MSMEs," explained Jeri, in Jayapura, Friday (29/7/2022).
In order to enliven the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, on August 1 to 30, 2022, continued Jeri, the local committee also held a number of activities including Fan Walk and competitions intended for the public.
"There are also charity, touring, blood donations and others that are expected to have participation from the community. The Independence Day event belongs to all of us Papuans in the frame of the Republic of Indonesia".
Previously, the Assistant Secretary of the Regional Secretary of Papua for The Economy and People's Welfare, Muhammad Musa'ad, stated that the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia will be centered at the Lukas Enembe Stadium. It aims not to interfere with the activities of residents in Jayapura City during the flag ceremony, which is usually held at the Mandala Jayapura Stadium.
“Lukas Enembe Stadium has a large parking lot. It is the most appropriate option. So as not to interfere with community activities," he said. ***
