JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government began the process of revitalizing the Papua platform located at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in order to welcome the implementation of the G20 Summit.
The head of the Regional Liaison Agency of Papua Province, Alexander Kapisa, in Jakarta on Thursday, said that the revitalization of the Papua platform at TMII, went through three stages.
"First, renovating the existing buildings and facilities on the Papua platformconsisting of several tribal houses in Papua.The second is arranging landscape (landforms) to repair the Papuan platform, and the third is rejuvenating existing cultural objects," explained Alexander.
According to him,the revitalization process is expected to be completed in2022. The new platform will also provide a place to sell souvenir for native Papuan MSMEs.
"Moreover, we know that the area of this Papuan platform has reached 5. 000 square meters. So that it will be sought to be able to produce something for the economic growth of indigenous Papuan MSMEs," he said.
Alexander on that occasion asked for prayer support from the people of Bumi Cenderawasih so that the revitalization process would run as it should be.
Previously, Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian asked for 19 platforms for each province in TMII to be revitalized because they suffered severe damage. ***
