JAYAPURA - The Papua Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS) is expected to be able to reduce the prevalence of stunting throughout Indonesia, as the national target in 2024, the figure must reach below 14 percent.
Meanwhile, in Papua, the existence of the team is expected to be able to reduce the stunting rate to zero percent of cases.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Papua Provincial Health Office Roby Kayame in Jayapura, Tuesday.
"We appreciate the TPPS of Papua, whose active role is expected to be able to reduce stunting and be able to drive action plans at the Papua Province level," explained Roby.
However, Roby said that to maximize the handling of stunts, community support and district and city governments in Papua are needed.
"Therefore, we hope that all personnel and agencies who are members of the Papua Province TPPS will be able to embrace the community and are strongly committed to continuing to coordinate actively and integrative with all relevant stakeholders".
"So that convergence on priority goals can run effectively," he said again.
Previously, there was an opening of stunting reconciliation activities in Papua Province with the theme "Synergy of TPPS at the Papua Provincial Level in the Context ofAchievement of the Target of Reducing Stunting Prevalence by 14 percent in 2024" which was followed by the entire Papua Province Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team and regencies/cities at one of the hotels in Jayapura City, Monday (21/11). ***
