JAYAPURA - In addition to success in the field of infrastructure development, the affirmation program in the field of education became one of the highlights in the era of Lukas Enembe - Klemen Tinal (Lukmen) during the two periods leading Papua.
The affirmation program now ensures that indigenous Papuan children find it easy to study at prestigious public universities outside Papua, such as the University of Indonesia or Gadjah Mada University.
In fact, according to the Head of the Regional Education, Library and Archives Office (DPPAD) Protasius Lobya through the national affirmation program which is fully supported by the Regional Budget of Papua Provincial Government, even some of them work in the ministry after graduation every year.
"I will open this number to the public while waiting for data collection, but the number of thousands that we have pushed to enter Public Universities throughout Indonesia".
"This program is indeed an order from the Governor to the relevant Regional Apparatus Organization to encourage alignment and opportunities for Papuan children to catch up with other regions in the field of education in particular," explained Lobya in Jayapura, Tuesday (6/12/2022).
He continued, the Governor of Papua also loudly intervened in the fight against illiteracy, which instructed cooperation with religious-based universities in the land of Papua.
"As a result, the high illiteracy rate in some areas began to fall after we did the invention. Even though this authority is in the district government and the city government, it can be overcome if the district government wants to pay more attention to the basic education level".
"However, with the partnership program, the illiteracy rate in Papua can be lowered because there are already several districts that have become pilots," he said.
In addition, added Lobya, another innovation is through Early Childhood Education (PAUD). This age is the forerunner of quality Papuan human resources in the future.
Through the Head of PAUD Yulce Enembe and the wives of the regents/mayors, began to focus on managing PAUD in Papua. One of them is by building an integrated PAUD. ***
