JAYAPURA - The Papua Marine and Fisheries Service (DKP) at the end of 2022, handed over a package of fishery infrastructure assistance to business groups and related parties at PPI Hamadi, Jayapura City, Thursday (29/2/2022).
The symbolic handover by the Head of the Papua Marine and Fisheries Service, Iman Djuniawal, was witnessed by the Secretary of the Papua Marine Service, Carlos Matuan and all staff of the agency.
In his remarks, Iman advised that the assistance received could support the increase in aquaculture production, also increase catches and Regional Original Revenue (PAD) of Papua in the future. Considering that Papua has been divided into 4 new provinces.
"In general, Papua as the main province has a fairly small PAD from the fisheries sector. So I hope that through the assistance of fisheries facilities and infrastructure, it can boost PAD of Papua in the future, to support the implementation of development in this province," he hoped.
On that occasion, Iman thanked the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe who gave full attention to his agency through budgeting support, where many successes have been achieved, so that the world of Cenderawasih Earth fisheries has contributed to the development, more specifically during the implementation of the 2020 PON.
It is known that a number of aid packages were handed over, including freshwater fish seed assistance in Naogalo Village, Jayawijaya Regency (2 packages). Then the assistance of Freshwater Fish seed in Yokiwa Village, Jayapura Regency (5 packages), as well as the assistance of Sea Fish seed in Jayapura Regency (2 packages) and Jayapura City (3 packages).
Furthermore, the assistance of Floating Net in Jayapura City (1 unit), Freshwater Fish seed in Jayapura Regency (4 packages) and Jayapura City (4 packages), Silkworm and Magot (1 package) in Biak Numfor Regency as well as outboard Motor fishing assistance in Jayapura Regency (1 package) and Jayapura City (3 packages). ***
