JAYAPURA - Daily Executive of Governor Ridwan Rumasukun ensures that the budgeting freeze by the Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center (PPATK), does not necessarily hinder the development process in Papua.
This is because the budgeting freeze is the Remaining Budget Financing (SILPA) of the Papua Provincial Government in 2022.
"The budgeting freeze is the SILPA budget that is not used in the Regional General Cash Account (RKUD) of the Papua Provincial Government".
"The point is that the budgeting freeze does not interfere with the current community service and government. Everything is going on as usual," explained Acting Governor Ridwan Rumasukun, after meeting Forkopimda Papua, in Jayapura, Friday (13/1/2023).
Ridwan also added that in the letter he received, the suspension by PPATK was written for only five days. Thus, subsequently the budget is likely to be used.
"The budgeting freeze is only five days. But the reason is not written. The administration is running as usual," he said.
As previously reported, PPATK froze some accounts belonging to the Papua Provincial Government worth IDR 1.5 trillion after Papua Governor Lukas Enembe was arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The head of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana said the account freeze was carried out to prevent irregularities in the use of the Papua Provincial Government's budget. ***
