JAYAPURA - The implementation of the Cenderawasih Bay Sail (STC) 2023 is said to be an event to introduce Papuan tourism which is expected to boost the regional economy.
Therefore, the Culture and Tourism Department of Papua encourages parties to be able to take advantage of the momentum of STC 2023, in order to introduce the uniqueness of Papuan tourism to the world.
"It is a good opportunity that must be done optimally so that investors can be interested in investing in Papua, because Papua is rich in nature and panoramas,"" said Head of the Culture and Tourism Department of Papua, Yimin Weya in Jayapura, Selasa.
Meanwhile, to support the implementation of STC 2023, his agency budgeted IDR 1.8 billion to hold training (including coaching fund) for communities in four districts that are the venue for the upcoming Cenderawasih Bay Sail (STC), November, in Papua).
The fund is sourced from the 2023 State Budget (APBN), through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK).
"The training carried out includes, creative economy, because we see business opportunities in the creative economy, it is still wide open," he said.
