JAYAPURA - The Culture and Tourism Department (Disbudpar) of Papua programmed training activities for tourism destination managers in nine regencies and cities, throughout Cenderawasih Earth.
According to the Head of the Culture and Tourism Department, Yimin Weya, in addition to the training agenda, his party will assist existing tourist destination managers. So it is hoped that it can attract local and foreign tourists to Papua.
"And of course, it will encourage economic improvement, income for tourism destination managers, and PAD for local governments," Yimin explained in Jayapura on Tuesday.
Still, according to Yimin, his party in the training and mentoring program will involve the Heads of Tourism Offices in the districts/cities, so that they can jointly discuss the obstacles faced and existing shortcomings.
"With the hope, after knowing the shortcomings and obstacles experienced, we will help through programs and funding," he said.
Yimin said his party is strongly committed to starting this year, working hard to increase tourism potential in nine districts/cities in Cenderawasih Earth. The hope is to increase Regional Original Income.
"Because with the formation of the three New Autonomous Region (DOB) provinces, the PAD for Papua is practically not like still with 29 regencies and cities."
"That's why to improve tourism PAD, various efforts we make, one of which is to approach communication to people who have tourism land by providing training," he explained again. ***
