JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno was very pleased with the welcome, landscape, and cultural objects of Papua while visiting the Papua pavilion at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
Sandiaga Uno visited TMII to monitor preparations for the Eid al-Fitr holiday 1444 H.
During a visit to TMII, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy visited the Papua pavilion to ensure the readiness of the pavilion to receive tourist visits who will take advantage of this Eid holiday.
At the Papua pavilion, the Minister was welcomed with traditional processions and dances that have become Service Operational Standards (SOP) when receiving state guests.
When asked about the impression he got after visiting the Papua pavilion, Sandiaga said that it was marvelous.
"It is marvelous Mr. Alex, we will coordinate with several festivals like the Skouw festival we will launch in June as well". Minister Sanidaga Uno said.
Sandiaga was very impressed with the landscape of the Papuan pavilion which is very supportive of outdoor activities.
"Because this garden is suitable for cocktails and morning coffee can also be". The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy said.
Sandiaga also plans to bring the ASEAN Head of State who will hold the KTT in Jakarta to come to the Papua pavilion.
"For ASEAN, the leaders who will attend the KTT may be partly directed, hopefully, they will be willing, to enjoy the Papuan pavilion because it is like an appetizer, if you want to go to Papua it may be far away and it takes much time, on this pavilion you can feel the sensation of the original Papua," concluded Sandiaga Uno
During a visit to the Papua pavilion, Sandiaga was welcomed with traditional ceremonies and visited cultural objects in the Kawari museum, and saw the Honai on the Papua pavilion.
The minister and his entourage also participated in dancing the Sajojo dance with dancers and all visitors at the Papuan pavilion. ***
