JAYAPURA - Assistant for Economic Affairs and People Welfare of Papua, Suzana Wanggai called on students to stay away from drugs and alcohol that can damage their future.
She hopes that students will be more interested in more positive things such as sports which will not harm them as the next generation of the nation.
"I hope every student has positive thoughts and stays away from negative things such as drug abuse and alcohol".
"Because of that, the act violates the law and has the potential to be involved in legal problems," explained Suzana Wanggai when she was the inspector of the National Education Day commemoration ceremony at the field of SMA 3 Buper Waena, Jayapura City, Tuesday (2/5/2023).
Suzana Wanggai also urged parents and teachers to pay special attention to each student.
"Give students high love and care so they do not fall into negative things, especially drug abuse," she said.
At the peak of the 2023 National Education Day at the Papua Provincial Government, they visited Taman Makam Pahlawan Waena to have the ceremony of placing flowers on the grave.
Suzana also asked students in Papua to master foreign languages.
Wanggai said every child has an extraordinary future. Therefore, language mastery is important for every learner to understand.
"You have to learn all languages because language is a bridge to understanding each other and the world of work," she said. ***
