JAYAPURA - Public Service Mall (MPP) is now present in Jayapura City. The location is in the Terminal Type A area, Kelapa Dua Entrop, South Jayapura District, Jayapura City.
Inaugurated by the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB), Abdullah Azwar Anas, Friday (19/5/2023), the Public Service Mall in Jayapura City became the first in the Land of Papua.
The inauguration was carried out by pressing the siren button and cutting the ribbon by Menpan RB, witnessed by the Acting Assistant for Economic Affairs and People Welfare of the Papua Regional Secretary, Suzana Wanggai and the Acting Mayor of Jayapura, Frans Pekey.
After the inauguration, RB Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas said that the Public Service Mall can provide many conveniences for the public to manage permits, documents and other related matters.
One of the things is also encouraged, namely in the immigration service sector such as making and printing passports which can now be done in the public services mall of Jayapura City.
"Even for dealing with other vertical agencies. Even identity card and family card, we have just seen how barcodes are sent to the public online, then they (residents) will independently print on machines in this mall, "explained the minister.
Azwar said that the effort to present the Public Service Mall in Jayapura City is proof that Indonesia is centric in President Jokowi's administration, not only encouraging infrastructure development but also in the public service sector, including in Papua.
"But once again especially for Papua, we are encouraged by the President to continue to intensify public services and we will handle it specifically, provide supervision, weekly and monthly monitoring related to public service malls in Papua," explained Azwar.
With the presence of the Public Service Mall, continued Minister Azwar, it is expected that every certain period there will be an evaluation process carried out to improve the service process for the community. Meanwhile, the central government will also carry out special supervision.
"We will prepare a Zoom link and a special phone number for other areas in the land of Papua. So, this public service will be good and function optimally. So, we no longer need to study in Jawa. Now the public service mall in Jayapura City is enough for studying," he said.
Public Service Mall (MPP) is a place for the implementation of public services for goods, services and administrative services, which is an expansion of integrated service functions both central and regional, as well as services of State-Owned Enterprises / Regional Owned Enterprises / private in order to provide fast, easy, affordable, safe and comfortable services for citizens in general. ***
