JAKARTA - Unit Pelaksana Teknik Badan (UPTB) Anjungan Papua at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, held a writing competition and quiz about the culture of Papua, Jumat (26/5/2023).
This quiz and writing competition about Papua culture is a series of events "Knowing Papuan Culture Closer" to enliven National Education Day.
At the opening ceremony, the East Jakarta Administrative City Education Office represented, H. Rusdah, Head of Education of Cipayung District, East Jakarta, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the activities carried out by the UPTB Papua pavilion.
"This activity is very good to introduce Papua to the community, especially to students," said Rusdah.
Head of the Papua Liaison Board in Jakarta. Alexander Kapisa, the person in charge of the pavilion, said that the activity was a series of several activities carried out to enliven the national education day.
"We as an extension of the local government take advantage of this national education day to introduce Papua to younger students outside Papua, especially those in Jakarta," said Alexander Kapisa.
The quiz competition on Papuan culture was attended by 30 participants from 10 elementary schools in the East Jakarta area.
Meanwhile, the writing competition about Papuan culture was attended by 21 students from 5 junior high schools in East Jakarta. ***
