JAYAPURA - The Daily Executive of Papua Governor Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun ensures that his government has totally supported the implementation of governance in three new autonomous regions.
The Provincial Governments of South Papua, Highland Papua and Central Papua are the three new autonomous regions. In addition to transferring civil servants and government employees with work agreements (PPPK), the Papua Provincial Government has also realized financial assistance for three autonomous regions in 2022, to support the initial stage of governance.
"It didn't stop there, there was also a gradual rollout of assets starting with the handover of the technical implementation unit of Samsat."
"In addition, it also conveys the control of the ownership of the Papua Provincial Government in several existing and ongoing Regional owned enterprises (BUMD) as well as the ownership of a set of assets of the Papua Provincial Government in the form of hotels located in the new autonomous regions," explained Governor Ridwan, at the Coordination Meeting for the Government of the Four Autonomous Regions in the Papua region at Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday (30/5/2023).
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs John Wempi Wetipo and attended by the Acting Governors of three new autonomous regionsand the Head of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) in charge of monitoring, budgeting, financial,disaster, communication and informatics as well as the organization.
Meanwhile, the important thing, said Ridwan, is giving Special Autonomy Scholarships related to the sustainability of the joint priority strategy program (PPSB). The Papua Provincial Government as the main province has completed the responsibility of paying the 2022 scholarship of IDR 122 million more.
"However, since 2023, it has become a joint responsibility of the Provincial Government of Papua," he said.
In addition to some basic things that have been done, added Ridwan, the Papua Provincial Government also provides support in the form of facilitation in the preparation of the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD)for three new autonomous regions in 2023.
"Then there is also the revision of the Regional Regulation for Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) as the basis for the preparation of Regional Spatial Plan in three new autonomous regions with several important documents, namely the recommendation of the Geospatial Information Agency base map for Papua Province and three new autonomous regions. Then the technical approval of the Zoning Plans for Coastal Areas and Small Islands from the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia can be directly used by autonomous regions with Aquatic and Marine areas," said Governor Ridwan. ***
