JAYAPURA - The regional agenda of the 2023 Development Planning Deliberation of Papua Special Autonomy Development Planning Deliberation was officially held on Wednesday (7/6/2023) morning, at the Governor Office Jayapura. 

The activity was officially opened by the Daily Executive of Papua Governor Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, witnessed by Regional Secretary of Papua Derek Hegemur and officials in the local government.

In his direction, Governor Ridwan strongly advised that the Development Planning Deliberation will produce great programs.  Moreover, this is the first agenda carried out after the expansion of the New Autonomous Region (DOB).

Ridwan continues, the Development Planning Deliberation must be implemented as real and measurable.

"Let's do our best, for extraordinary results”.

"Of course, it can provide benefits for both us, the community and all residents in the Land of Papua," explained Ridwan on the sidelines of the event.

Governor Ridwan also highlighted the importance of potential optimization planning in each region of Papua, in order to improve the regional economy.

He believes it would be even better if products of each region can penetrate not only the domestic market but also expand their reach to foreign markets.

"Actually, we have a lot of potential in regencies and cities in Papua. Such as Sarmi Regency with Crude Palm Oil (CPO) or palm oil and others. "

"That's why we need to elevate the superior products of each region to become a high economic value for the region," he appealed.

In addition to holding the Development Planning Deliberation of Papua Special Autonomy, at the same time, the Papua Provincial Government also launched the Socialization of the Governor's Regulation on Additional Employee Income (TPP) for the 2023 Fiscal Year and the Socialization of Functional Positions in the Field of Personnel within the Papua Provincial Government. ***
