JAYAPURA - Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian officially appointed nine Acting Governors for a number of regions. One of them, Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, who previously served as Regional Secretary.
The inauguration took place at Sasana Bakti Praja Building C, Ministry of Home Affairs, Central Jakarta Tuesday (5/9/2023).
Minister Tito in his direction strongly advised all Acting Governors to use the trust given by the state well, more specifically the President through the mechanism of the Final Assessment Team (TPA) session.
"Please keep this mandate, run the government well because you fill the vacancy."
"Most importantly, the course of the government and then as a civil servant I ask in this political year, to take a neutral position, not a practical political position. But the country's politics are to develop their respective regions," said Tito.
The Home Minister also called on all parties in the region to support the sworn-in acting governor. So that it can run the government as it should.
"To all parties, let us support the officials who have been appointed so that they can carry out their duties as well as possible, even though the dynamics always exist," he said.
Meanwhile, eight officials were inaugurated, namely, Acting Governor of North Sumatra Hassanudin, Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudi, Acting Governor of Central Java Nana Sudjana and Acting Governor of Bali Sang Made Mahendra Jaya.
Then Acting Governor of NTT Ayodhia Kalake, Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Bahtiar Baharuddin, Acting Governor of Southeast Sulawesi Andap Budhi, and Governor of West Kalimantan Harrison Azroi. ***
