JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun invites residents of Jayapura and surrounding areas to exercise together at Lukas Enembe Stadium, Kampung Harapan, Jayapura Regency, Friday, September 9, 2023.

The joint exercise, which was attended by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, leaders of local agencies and regents/mayors throughout Papua, began at 7 a.m with the agenda of fun walk, jogging and gymnastics.

"In essence, this is a sports and hospitality agenda between the Acting Governor of Papua and the ranks, heads of vertical agencies (BUMD / BUMN) as well as regents and mayors," explained the Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Agency, Jeri A. Yudianto, Wednesday (6/9/2023).

Meanwhile, the reason for choosing Lukas Enembe Stadium is related to efforts on the part of the Papua Provincial Government to utilize the former PON venue, to provide income for the region.

"Because we know that the Acting Governor of Papua is very encouraging that the former PON venue can be used to add PAD to the region," explained Jeri.

Jeri on that occasion hoped that the people who came could obey the rules of the management when entering Lukas Enembe Stadium. The public is also asked to maintain cleanliness around the stadium area and use existing facilities as appropriate.

"Of course, the existing restrictions include not eating areca nut and smoking in the stadium. I hope this rule can be maintained and all parties who come can maintain the cleanliness of this stadium of pride of the people of Jayapura," he said. ***
