JAYAPURA – After being inaugurated on September 5, 2023, the Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun immediately moved quickly to run the wheels of government in Papua.
Starting the second week of this month, Governor Ridwan visited the Papua Central Statistics Agency Office located on Sam Ratulangi Street, Jayapura City to meet local leaders.
Accompanied by Acting Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur, Governor Ridwan on the sidelines of the visit requested that the agency submit current dan valid statistical data periodically. So the economic growth and inflation control can run as it should.
"The Governor requested that the Central Statistics Agency as a basic data supervisory agency and data development agency in the regions submit current and valid data periodically as the governor asked during the visit to Papua Central Statistics Agency."
"The governor also realized that in the process of policymaking, especially maintaining economic growth and inflation in Papua, up-to-date and valid data are needed " explained the Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Agency, Jeri A. Yudianto, Monday (11/9/2023), in Jayapura.
Jeri on that occasion stated that Governor Rumasukun had also publicly asked the Head of Central Statistics Agency of Papua to conduct guidance to 100 state civil servants of the Papua Provincial Government who manage statistical data in local agencies.
The creation of collaboration will produce strong sector data in various fields, so that the foundation of regional heads will be more maximal in making policies.
Separately, the Head of the Central Statistics Agency of Papua, Adriana Helena Carolina, appreciated the visit of the Acting Governor of Papua because it was the first agenda after being inaugurated by Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, in early September 2023.
"We give appreciation and gratitude to the Acting Governor for his visit and the attention of the Central Statistics Agency to support every direction so we will provide data and recommendations needed by the local government."
