JAYAPURA – Acting Papua Governor Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun confirmed and appointed Zainuri as Head of Representative of the local Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), replacing previous official Tri Wibowo Aji.
Zainuri previously served as Head of BPKP West Papua, while Tri Wibowo is now serving in a new position as Head of BPKP North Maluku.
In his remarks, Governor Rumasukun hoped that BPKP Papua under the new leadership could continue to provide guidance to local governments in Papua to improve governance, internal supervision, risk management, and corruption control to realize an accountable, clean and authoritative government in the easternmost province of Indonesia
"We hope that governance in Papua will get better day by day, which is reflected in better governance performance indicators, such as increasing local governments with SPIP maturity, Risk Management Index and Corruption Control Effectiveness Index level 3," he hoped.
While related to the formation of three New Autonomous Regions (DOB) of Papua, namely South Papua, Central Papua and Highland Papua Provinces, Ridwan hopes that BPKP Papua can participate in overseeing and accompanying the process of Transfer of Personnel, Equipment, Financing and Documents (P3D), so that it can be carried out on time and accountability.
"The New Autonomous Region urgently needs the role of BPKP in providing guidance in the development of good governance so that the implementation of development can run effectively and efficiently, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," said Ridwan.
The Governor on that occasion expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the old officials who have carried out their duties very well, in overseeing financial accountability and development in the working area of BPKP Papua Representatives.
"Welcome to the new place at the BPKP Representative of North Maluku Province and Welcome to the Head of BPKP Papua Province, Mr. Zainuri. We hope that we can continue to establish communication, synergy and coordination that have been running well and can continue to help assist local governments in the Papua region," he said. ***
