JAYAPURA - The State Civil Apparatus of the Papua Provincial Government has now begun back to work on Wednesday (20/9/2023) morning after previously being organized by the Ondoafi Kayu Pulo community on Monday (18/9/2023).
The cross was opened after a long negotiation process between indigenous parties and the Papua Provincial Government, in which there was an agreement to resolve the requests of Ondoafi Kayu Pulo.
The opening of the cross was witnessed directly by the Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Jeri A. Yudianto, the Head of the Service Police Unit of Papua Welliam Manderi, and related parties.
"We are with the Kayo Pulo indigenous people who are concentrating on solving this problem so that office activities run normally as before," said the Head of Papua Communication and Informatics, Jery A. Yudiyanto, after witnessing the opening of the cross.
Jery added that the settlement of the Papua Governor Office by Ondoafi of Kayo Pulo will be related to compensation and there is a partiality of the Papua Provincial Government to indigenous peoples in various fields.
"It means that there are policies from the Acting Governor of Papua Ridwan Rumasukun towards indigenous people in Kayo Pulo," he explained.
Jeri hopes that similar actions will not be repeated in other government offices so that services to the community remain safe and smooth.
"I think if there is a problem, it can be discussed carefully. There is no need to do this eradication which we hope will not happen again in the future," he said.
Ondoafi of Kayo Pulo Frans Sibi said that with the agreement of the Papua Provincial Government, the problem related to the construction of the local governor office complex was declared resolved.
"We have met with the Papua Provincial Government and it has been resolved. That's why today we opened the cross," he said. ***
