JAYAPURA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said land is valuable in the hearts of the Papuan people. Both in terms of spirituality, sociological, anthropological, cultural, and economic society.
The land is seen as the mother that gives birth to the social life of the Papuan people
"Therefore, it is one of the priority agendas in Papua that has received serious attention from the government."
"The government's attention is contained in the Presidential Instruction on the Acceleration of Welfare Development in Papua and West Papua," said Vice President Amin after handing over 102 land certificates from the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program to the Papuan, at the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) in Jayapura City, Wednesday (11/10/2023).
According to Vice President Amin, PTSL is a national program implemented since 2017, with a target of registering 126 million plots of land by 2025.
The provision of land certificates is the Government's commitment to accelerate land certification throughout Indonesia for free.
"This land certificate is very important, it guarantees legal certainty and legal protection for the owner," he said.
On that occasion, Vice President Amin symbolically handed over land certificates, including to Adhita Refan Leschaya, a resident of West Koya, Muara Tami District.
