JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun officially inaugurated the Acting Regent of the Yapen Islands Welliam Manderi.
The inauguration at the Hall of the Governor Office, Jayapura City, on Tuesday (17/10/2023) morning.
Starting with singing the song Indonesia Raya, the inauguration agenda then read the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs. Followed by taking oaths and promises of office. Closed with embedding ofincumbency marks and pins.
"By God, I swear, I will fulfill my obligations as Acting Regent as well and fairly, uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and carry out laws and regulations as straight as possible, and serve the community, state and nation," Manderi said.
In addition to the Acting Regent of the Yapen Islands, the Head of the Family Welfare Empowerment Drive Team of Yapen Island, Yustina Manderi, was also inaugurated by the Acting Chairman of the Family Welfare Empowerment of Papua Linda Onibala.
Meanwhile, Governor Rumasukun entrusted three main tasks that must be carried out by the Acting Regent of Manderi. First, carry out the duties of government affairs based on the provisions of laws and policies determined together with the Regional People's Representative Council.
Second, maintain peace and order. And third, facilitate preparations for the implementation of the upcoming 2024 Legislative Election, Presidential Election and 2024 Governor and Regent Elections.
"And the most important thing is to maintain the neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus. But the Acting Regent is also obliged to carry out the program of the national andtraditional categories. Another one, the Cendrawasih Bay Sail Program, programs for the relief of stunting and nutrition and inflation control," he hoped.
Acting Regent Welliam Manderi said he was ready to carry out the leadership's instructions. Moreover, his party had served as Acting Regent of Yapen in 2016.
"Yapen is not a new area because of my village. I also served as Acting Regent of Yapen in 2016. And I am ready to carry out the duties mandated by the Home Minister and the Governor," he concluded. ***
