JAYAPURA - The Acting Head of the Family Welfare Empowerment Drive Team (TP PKK) of Yapen Islands Regency, Yustina Manderi was officially inaugurated.

The inauguration by the Acting Chairman of the Family Welfare Empowerment Drive Team of Papua Linda Onibala, Tuesday (17/10/20230), on the 9th Floor of the Governor Office Jayapura, was witnessed by Acting Governor Ridwan Rumasukun, Acting Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur and Acting Regent of the Yapen Islands Welliam Manderi.

In her speech, Linda advised the Acting Chairman of the Family Welfare Empowerment Drive of Yapen, Yustina Manderi to focus on accelerating the reduction of stunting rates, in addition to the 10 main programs of family empowerment organizations.

Linda also asked Yustina Manderi to immediately accelerate local programs, in accordance with the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Master Plan 2021-2024.

"Including optimizing all existing potentials, for the success of the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Master Plan 2021-2024, which includes utilizing potential partnerships with various Regional Apparatus Organization and partner institutions in Yapen." 

"In essence, the Chairman of the District Family Welfare Empowerment must be the driving force axis in realizing the planned regional development agenda to improve the welfare of the people in the local area. I believe Yustina Manderi is able to carry out this assigned task," said Linda.

The Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, invited all parties in Yapen to fully support the family empowerment program promoted by the local Family Welfare Empowerment.

"Because without the help of the relevant parties in Yapen, I think the planned program will not be able to run as it should. For this reason, I ask that all parties can support the local program including the government which is now led by Acting Regent Welliam Manderi," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Family Welfare Empowerment Drive Team of Yapen Islands, Yustina Manderi ensured that she was ready to carry out the duties mandated to her.

"We are ready to carry out the task. I will gather all members first to then decide what steps to take in the future. Including accelerating the reduction of stunting," she said. ***
