SERUI - The Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun led the morning briefing in the Yapen Islands Regent Office's yard on Wednesday (10/18/2023) morning.

Governor Ridwan in Yapen in the framework of a preparatory working visit to Cenderawasih Bay Sail (STC) 2023, inflation control and stunting prevention in Yapen and Waropen Islands.

"I came in full power. We sent Mr. Welliam Manderi to carry out his duties as the Acting Regent of the Yapen Islands."

"Therefore, I ask for support and good collaboration and cooperation from civil servants in Yapen," said Acting Governor Ridwan in his direction.

Governor Ridwan added that the task of Acting Regent of Yapen is burdensome if carried out independently. Therefore, the support of civil servants is needed to maximize the implementation of the Regional Head Election, Presidential Election and Legislative Election.

"Please support him. His task is difficult if carried out alone, therefore he asks for the support of civil servants and the community so the election in Serui will run well," he hoped.

Meanwhile, at the morning briefing, Governor Ridwan also handed over cash assistance of IDR 2 billion to the Yapen regional government to support the local government's readiness to participate in STC 2023. ***
