BOTAWA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun invited the heads of regional apparatus organizations in Waropen Regency to become stunting foster parents for toddlers who carry out health services to the Local Integrated Service Post.
Governor Rumasukun believes that if this is implemented in all Integrated Service Posts in Waropen, the stunting problem will be solved.
"I wish each of the heads of the Regional Apparatus Organization (in Waropen) will be a foster parent for toddlers within the next 6 months."
"Giving milk, green beans and eggs, several hundred thousand in six months or a million each person, surely the stunting problem is solved," explained Rumasukun, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Mekar Jaya Integrated Service Post, Usaiwa Village, Hureyfaisey District, Botawa, Waropen, Thursday (10/19/2023).
Governor Rumasukun on that occasion appreciated the local government for working hard to reduce stunting rates in Waropen.
High appreciation was also directed to the village head who encouraged the development of Mekar Jaya Integrated Service Post with funding sources from village funds.
"If possible, this is imitated by all village heads in Papua."
"In this Integrated Service Post, healthy children are born and will become the golden generation in 2045. The toddlers will become leaders, Regents, Deputy Regents, People's Representative Council, Civil Servants and others in the future," he said.
Before delivering his remarks, at the inauguration of Mekar Jaya Integrated Service Post, the Acting Governor signed the inscription by Governor Rumasukun.
Meanwhile, the Mekar Jaya Integrated Service Post ribbon was cut by the Acting Chairman of the Family Welfare Empowerment of Papua, Linda Onibala.
The Acting Governor of Papua also handed over assistance to accelerate the reduction of stunting in the local area. ***
