JAYAPURA - Two New Autonomous Regions (DOB), South Papua and Central Papua, officially received the document of the Coastal Areas and Small Islands Zoning Plan (RZWP-3K), Tuesday (14/5/2024).
The Papua Provincial Government submitted the document through the local Marine and Fisheries Office in Jayapura City.
Head of the Papua Marine and Fisheries Service Imam Djuniawal hopes the document's submission can accelerate RZWP-3-K development in the two New Autonomous Regions.
"This document is the basis for the fishery area development in the two regions," said Imam.
Head of the Central Papua Agriculture, Food, Marine and Fisheries Office, Frence The Papara said the preparation of the RZWP-3-K document took a long time, the archive would be material for follow-up in developing the fisheries sector in the region.
"We thank the Papua Provincial Government through the Marine and Fisheries Service for compiling the document because this is not something easy, it has to go through a long process and is expensive," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Directorate General of Bina Bangda of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tantri Lisdiawati hopes that the preparation of RZWK-3-K in the two regions can be completed soon so the benefits can be immediately felt by the community.
"The existence of the document is expected to prosper the local community," he said. ***
