JAYAPURA - Papua Province has been officially chosen as the host of National Children's Day (HAN) in 2024. Meanwhile, Papua Bangkit Stadium has been designated as the location of the 2024 National Children's Day which will be attended by all governors' wives throughout Indonesia.
Assistant for Government Affairs of the Regional Secretary of Papua Province, Yohanes Walalo, the selection of the location has been finalized. The organizing committee in Papua with the Central Government are currently holding a marathon meeting to prepare for its implementation.
"The peak of 2024 National Children's Day will be centered at Papua Bangkit Stadium, Nolokla Village, East Sentani, Jayapura Regency, on July 23, 2024."
"Tomorrow (Thursday-ed) we will still have another coordination meeting with the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia and the General Chairman of OASE KIM, Tri Tito Karnavian," Yohanes explained to reporters, after a meeting at a hotel in Jayapura City, Wednesday (19/6/2024).
Meanwhile, the coordination meeting related to the commemoration of the 2024 National Children's Day was attended by a member of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Era of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (OASE KIM) Mrs. Sri Suparni Bahlil Lahadalia and the ranks of related Regional Apparatus Organizations.
The location of the National Children's Day at Papua Bangkit Stadium will later be reviewed directly by Mrs. Tri Tito Karnavian together with Minister Bahlil Lahadalia.
"The point is that after checking the location, we will hold another meeting to finalize the agenda for the 2024 National Children's Day commemoration," he said.
It is known that the 2024 National Children's Day will also be attended by President Joko Widodo and Governors throughout Indonesia by sending one outstanding child in their region.
At the National Children's Day commemoration, an art performance will be held featuring indigenous Papuan children. They will perform one large-scale attraction, namely a colossal dance with a total of two thousand indigenous Papuan children.
"We will break the MURI record through a colossal dance involving two thousand Indigenous Papuan students, there are no non-Papuan children and there will be exhibitions and carnivals," he said. ***
