JAYAPURA - The Papua Province Bureau of Procurement of Goods and Services (BPBJ) encourages the provision of special facilitation for local work units to protect Papuan Indigenous entrepreneurs.
"That way we can verify and take sides with Papuan Indigenous entrepreneurs in the mandate of the Special Autonomy Law," explained the Head of BPBJ of Papua Province, Debora Salosa, in Jayapura, Wednesday.
Even so, she asked all indigenous business actors in Papua, especially in the fields of construction, services and procurement of goods to improve the qualifications of business entities to meet the required standards.
"So that it can also be included in the work in the local catalog. Especially work with funds sourced from Special Autonomy funds which should be addressed to Papuan Indigenous entrepreneurs."
"So it is very important to pay attention to the company's qualifications, starting from manpower, materials and tools and presenting prices that can have complicity with other business actors," said Debora.
Debora added, currently, the purchase of goods has been directed more to catalogs, it can consist of national catalogs, sectarian catalogs and local catalogs.
"For local catalogs, the Papua Provincial Government must prioritize indigenous business actors under Presidential Regulation 17 of 2019 and Governor Regulation 46 of 2021 concerning the procurement of goods and services in Papua Province," she concluded. ***
