JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, inaugurated HKBP Rogate, Resort Papua, District XVII of Eastern Indonesia, Sunday (25/8/2024).

The Governor on that occasion was accompanied by the Assistant Secretary, the Head of Regional Apparatus Organization and Pinatolhas nii, the head of Dpt. Koinonia Rev. Dr. Deonal Sinaga.

In his remarks, Limbong asked the HKBP church in Papua not to be exclusive because there are many denominations of various churches, they must blend with the existing churches in Papua, in multiple forms of service.

"Including the exchange of pulpit services, including Oikumene worship, as well as inviting together to build Papua," he said.

The Acting Governor Limbong also advised the church administrators to convey the message of peace and the beauty of serving. Limbong conveyed the message to the congregation in the form of a poem.

Limbong also handed over the Provincial Government's assistance in supporting the construction of the HKBP church, which at inauguration, the progress was still 98.5 percent. ***
