JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong invites all parties in the government to be jointly responsible for preventing all forms and criminal acts of corruption.
According to Limbong, corruption is a common enemy that must be fought because these actions harm the country financially and hurt public trust in the government.
"Therefore, efforts to prevent corruption are the responsibility of all, especially in the provincial government, districts/cities throughout Papua," said Limbong in a written speech read by the Acting Assistant for General Affairs of the Papua Regional Secretary, Anni Rumbiak, in Jayapura City, Monday (14/10/2024).
The Governor also emphasized the importance of the integrity of every civil servant at every level of government, from leaders to staff, because it is the main foundation for building a clean government.
"So I invite all elements of government and society to collaborate to create a system to prevent corruption from the root of the problem."
"Likewise, the Monitoring Centre for Prevention (MCP) is mandatory because it is part of efforts to prevent corruption by reporting various efforts and continuing to complete documents related to corruption prevention," said Limbong.
Meanwhile, the Papua Provincial Government signed an integrity pact on the implementation of the 2025 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
This is done to strengthen the commitment to realizing a clean, transparent and accountable government.
The governor said that signing the integrity pact would help realize a transparent reporting system.
"Therefore, today we and the Corruption Eradication Commission continue to carry out a corruption prevention action plan to strengthen our joint commitment," he said. ***
