JAYAPURA - Acting Regent of Yapen Islands Suzana Wanggai ensured that the condition of her region ahead of the regional head election was a safe and controlled situation.

She said that so far there are no ripples of the Regional Elections in Yapen that have the potential to divide unity between citizens.

"But we continue to pray that all will go smoothly," said Suzana during a working visit to Jayapura City, Tuesday (15/10/2024).

Suzana also ensured that the coordination between the government, the organizers and the security forces was good and intense.

"We continue to build coordination between parties in Yapen, coordination and communication are important," she said.

Nevertheless, Suzana appealed to residents to maintain conduciveness during the 2024 Regional Election campaign stages.

"Let's keep all the processes running smoothly."

 "Indeed, yesterday the General Elections Commission and Elections Supervisory Agency with the pairs of Regional Head candidates have also declared a peaceful campaign. Of course, the hope is that the commitment is not just in words, but is implemented by all parties," she said. ***
