JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong met with the Selection Committee of the Papuan House of Representatives, in Jayapura, Friday (1/11/2024).

After the meeting, Limbong firmly asked the Selection Committee to work honestly and professionally and in accordance with applicable rules and laws.

"The Selection Committee must follow all rules and stages. Because if we work well, we will produce something best."

"On the other hand, if we work not under the rules, we will betray Papua," he said

According to Ramses Limbong, the Selection Committee must avoid conflicts so that problems do not arise in the future.

"The point is that I just ask you to work with your heart without any conflict of interest. Work for the people of Papua, not for the benefit of yourself or a certain group," he said.

The Head of the Papua Political Unity Agency, Musa Isir, said that the DPRP Selection Committee had held a plenary meeting to determine the composition of the team. Rev. Alberth Yoku was elected as the team leader, while Hans Zadrak Kaiwai was elected as the secretary.

Next week the team will immediately prepare a schedule and determine the coordinator in Tabi and Sareri customary areas.

"After the schedule is prepared, the team will make the next stage, because the working time is only three months," he said.

There is a difference in DPRP seats, people who follow legislative candidates or are involved in political parties cannot occupy appointments in the DPR.

The number of seats in the Papuan House of Representatives is 11 seats. Tabi area has 7 seats and 4 seats for Saireri area. ***
