JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong instructed regents and mayors in his region to immediately carry out a simulation of nutritious food for children.
Simulation is considered important to assess the extent of its effectiveness in Papua.
"Because in Papua, free nutritious food will utilize the local wisdom of each region (cassava, yam and others)," explained Limbong in Jayapura, Monday.
According to Limbong, the simulation is expected to start between mid-November and early December.
The simulation is as comparative data because the cost of nutritious food in Papua and Java Island must be different.
"The point is that we want to first calculate how much is a portion with sufficient nutritional intake in Papua. That's the purpose of the simulation," said the Governor.
Limbong ensured that the nutritious food menu in Papua is most likely not the same as that in Java. Nevertheless, nutritional supplements must be made equally adequate or under the set standards.
"So later in this simulation, I ask that each food be measured in nutrition so from this simulation, it is found how much it will cost," he said. ***
