JAYAPURA—The Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong asked the Regional Apparatus Organization in his jurisdiction to reduce the agenda of meetings and discussions that produce only programs on paper.
He asked that the community directly feel the use of the state budget by the Regional Apparatus Organization.
"I ask all Regional Apparatus Organizations to review the budget so that it can be directly felt by the community. The output is not just on paper," said Governor Limbong during a briefing at the Papua Governor's Office Yard, Jayapura City, Monday (11/10/2024).
Limbong also reminded the Regional Apparatus Organization to prioritize work ethic and evaluation because there are still many ineffective regional spending, both in terms of planning in the past and in the future.
"We will review what must be implemented. There is no need for much discussion but immediate implementation in the field.”
He also firmly asked the Regional Apparatus Organization to carry out budget efficiency in the rest of the current year 2024.
The same is true as emphasized by President Prabowo at the National Coordination Meeting in Bogor Regency, last week.
In the national meeting, it was revealed that almost 30-40 percent of regional spending was inefficient.
"Many budgets are exhausted due to official trips, that's why the Minister of Finance issued a Circular Letter to cut 50 percent of the official travel budget," said Ramses. ***
