Jayapura - The Papua Provincial Government held a fun walk on the 53rd Anniversary of the Civil Servant Corps (Korpri) on November 29, 2024, Friday (15/11).

The activity started and finished at the Dok II Governor's Office, Jayapura City attended by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, Papuan State Civil Apparatus, Vertical Offices / Agencies, the Indonesian National Army / the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia and the public.

The Chairman of the Korpri Anniversary and Papua Provincial Government's Anniversary, Johana O.A. Rumbiak said that the fun walk activity involved all stakeholders.

"Of course, this activity is a momentum to increase friendship and collaboration between the Government, Indonesian National Army / The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia, SOEs, Regional-Owned Enterprises and the community," said Anna Rumbiak.

More than two thousand people and the committee collaborated with partners and Papua Regional Apparatus Organizations provided door prizes for participants.

KORPRI also held the KORPRI Panca Prasetya Pronunciation Competition, the KORPRI Mars Choir Competition, and the Volleyball Tournament. The agenda of this event is expected to be a forum to strengthen togetherness and support each other in the development of Papua.

"The competition for the recital of KORPRI Panca Prasetya and the choir will take place at the Lukmen Hall of the Papua Governor's office, while the volleyball tournament will be held at the Cenderawasih Sports Building," he explained.

In addition, Anna Rumbiak added that the commemoration of the event which is close to December, will be coupled with the Christmas Visit by the Acting Governor of Papua to several orphanages, churches, and communities.

The Christmas celebration was carried out with Civil Servants, the Indonesian National Army / The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia and the community, especially in Jayapura City and its surroundings.

It is known that the peak of the 53rd Anniversary of KORPRI will fall on November 29, 2024 and the peak of the 75th Anniversary of Papua Province will be on December 27, 2024. ***
